Wild Eagle Construction Update

January 25, 2012

Wild Eagle, Dollywood’s new wingrider coaster, has had some major work done since the last update. The station is being built right now and looks great!

You can see that they have paid close attention to detail on the railings. You can see what they’ve done with the rest of the station in this next picture.

I suspect that the tower will be covered with brickwork soon. The trains for the ride look excellent too.

The detail on every wingrider train so far has been amazing. Here is close up of the seat.

From what I’ve heard they are very comfortable.

These cars look amazing. For me, it certainly adds to the theming of the ride. And the station looks awesome too. I’m glad that Dollywood is paying so much attention to the ride, with the cars, station, layout…

    • Dollywood has been known for good theming and so far each of the wingriders have good theming. The combination of both should be great for the rest of us! Thanks for commenting! 🙂

It does look like it is going to be great. The station looks alot like a lodge or cabin, cool break from the standard stations. And the trains look very cool, but I wonder why they have the flying coaster type restraints. I think it is unnecessary to have those type of restraints, but I must agree that they are more comfortable than their regular over the shoulder restraints because the mesh is comfortable and the over the shoulder handles aren’t close to you so it reduces headbanging.
