A 6th Dimension Coaster?

October 28, 2011

There are rumors that S&S Power, the company who builds 4th Dimension coasters, is creating a coaster with the ability to flip and spin in three ways. This means that you could flip like a 4th Dimension coaster, spin like a spinning coaster and roll like a barrel roll , all at once. It is kind of like those gyroscope rides at some fairs (pictured below) on a track.

So would that make this a 6th Dimension coaster?

To let you see what these rides would be capable of here is a video:

What do you think? Would you go on one of these coasters? Please comment. Thanks for reading! 🙂

Wow. I guess anything is possible, but this looks really out there. These would be dangerous because riders might hit things, and would have to be well thought out to make sure they don’t hit things. Also, if there would be a coaster like this, having only 3, 2 seating rows on one train would make capacity terrible. But besides those factors, I would still definitely go on it. It looks cool.

Wow, if built, it will certainly be the most ambitious coaster ever.

  4. This ride patent belongs to David Threlkel

  5. United States patent number 8,066,576 filed March 22,2002

  6. S&S is under a strict NDA and does not have permission to build design manufacturer or sell any 5D or 6D roller coasters…… Theses would be classified as combined axis of motion…….
