Legoland Florida is Open!

October 18, 2011

After years of anticipation the second Legoland in America has finally opened its doors to the public. The only other one in the country is in Carlsbad in California.

Built where Cypress Gardens used to be Legoland Florida combines a huge garden with all sorts of family rides. I have been to Legoland California and, while it is by no means a thrill seeker’s park, it was very fun (after all you’re surrounded by millions of Lego bricks). The two parks have a lot of similar rides, there are car, boat, firefighting, and tower rides at both parks. Along with these are five roller coasters. There is also Miniland, small replicas of famous places/things. I am happy to say that they kept Cypress Garden’s famous water ski show. Here is a video of the park:

This looks like a nice, cool kids place. The drop tower thing there looks cool as people on the ground can make you fall! That seems awesome. And I like how everything is made out of (fake) legos!

I live in FL, so this is good. Except that it replaced Cypress Gardens 😦

    • They seem to have kept everything good about Cypress Gardens except Starliner and Galaxy Spin.
