Verbolten’s Drop Segment

October 16, 2011

Verbolten is a new coaster coming to Busch Gardens Williamsburg in Virginia. It will have a new type of element that has only been seen once before on Thirteen at Alton Towers in the UK. It is a drop section where the whole track falls. This makes the ride somewhat like a mix between a drop tower and a roller coaster. Since it is hard to describe here is a picture of what they have so far:

It will probably be inside a building to surprise people who haven’t read this blog. This is one of the first of a kind elements that Verbolten will have.

Thanks to BGWFans.com for the picture.

This ride looks very cool. The theming looks great. I want to ride it, but i went to BGW last year in June, so I wont be going back for a while. But I want to go back, for this and for mach tower that was not there and was severely behind schedule and didnt open until august, when it was said to be opening in spring. The freefall track of verbolten seems very unique and fun. I love drop towers and of course coasters, so a mix of them on verbolten sounds awesome. Alas, I wont be riding this for a while as I have many other parks to go to, such as SFOG which I am going to this summer.
