New Coaster at Parc Astérix

October 14, 2011

Parc Astérix is building a new B&M Inverted coaster next year, it will be the first ride of this type since 2007. So far there is no information on what its name will be. It looks pretty good.

The ride will start with a 114 foot lift hill. After a swooping drop the riders will fly up and over the first ever dive loop on an inverted coaster. Then they will ride around a curve that looks like it is banked at more than 90 degrees. This may be the first overbanked turn on an inverted coaster. After the turn there is a Vertical Loop. This exits into a trench like they have on Montu at Busch Gardens. An Immelmann comes right after the loop. A turn to the right before the riders are dropped underwater ( inside a tunnel of course). Out of the tunnel they will fly and around a large spiral up. A short drop leads them into a Zero-G-Roll. A few more turns follow this, there is even a corkscrew in there somewhere. This looks like an awesome ride.

What do you think? Please comment. Thanks for reading! 🙂
