My 5 Favorite Amusement Parks
This is a list of my 5 favorite amusement parks that I have been too. It may change when I go to more. Please know that having a roller coaster is not a requirement for a park (although it doesn’t hurt).
5. Islands of Adventure
Islands of Adventure has six themed islands. Marvel Superhero Island is home to one of the biggest coasters in Florida, The Incredible Hulk. It also has The Amazing Adventures of Spiderman, a 3D simulator on a track. Seuss Landing is a family area. Toon Lagoon has incredible water rides. Jurassic Park is home to dinosaurs of all shapes and sizes. The Lost Continent is where ancient myths and legends come to life. The newest area The Wizarding World of Harry Potter has thrilling rides like Dragon Challenge (formerly Dueling Dragons) and Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey.
Epcot doesn’t have any coasters however it has other rides and a world showcase with different types of theming from all sorts of countries. Test Track takes you through a testing plant for cars. Soarin’ is a hang gliding adventure. Mission Space takes you to Mars. The World Showcase is kind of like a permanent worlds fair. There are 11 different countries to choose from, everything from Morocco to Germany.
3. Busch Gardens Tampa
Busch Gardens Tampa is a great park with several awesome roller coasters. SheiKra is a large dive coaster that drops you straight down 200 feet. Cheetah Hunt accelerates you three times using magnets. Kumba loops upside down 7 times. Montu, an inverted coaster, dives into trenches. Aside from their coasters it is a large animal park with all sorts of creatures from Africa.
2. Six Flags Magic Mountain
Six Flags Magic Mountain was the first park to get two 10 out of 10s, one for X2 and one for Tatsu. It also is home to the world’s first coaster to go above 400 feet in height, Superman: Escape from Krypton (formerly known as Superman: the Escape). Riddler’s Revenge is the world’s largest stand up coaster. Goliath is a very tall hyper coaster (surprisingly not very fun). Plus another 4th Dimension coaster called Green Lantern: First Flight. Six Flags Magic Mountain is a close second to my favorite park of all.
1. Cedar Point
Any one who has read this blog for a while will know that I love Cedar Point. For some reason some people think it is overrated obviously not me. I would say that some of its coasters are not so good like Mantis and Disaster Transport. However they have three awesome coasters in Millennium Force (I gave it a 10 out of 10), Maverick (I gave it a 10 out of 10), and Top Thrill Dragster (I gave it a 9 out of 10). I haven’t been on Raptor due to it being closed but I’ve heard that it is good too. Cedar Point is a thrill seeker’s heaven.
Six Flags over Georgia, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Six Flags Fiesta Texas, Magic Kingdom
What do you think? What is your favorite park? Thanks for reading. 🙂
