Most Wanted Theme Parks

September 19, 2011

I already have a list of most wanted coasters, I thought it would be good to have a list of most wanted parks too. If a park has just one good coaster it probably will not make it onto the list. Here they are in no particular order:

Six Flags Great Adventure

An enormous park with the world’s tallest coaster, a large wooden coaster, and a hyper coaster. I have heard that they are tied with Cedar Point for the most rides (not coasters), that was a few years ago so it might be changed now.

Busch Gardens Williamsburg

This park has won the Best Landscaping award in the Golden Tickets for 14 years (the whole time they have been given). They have an old looping coaster, a gigantic inverted coaster, a hyper coaster, a dive coaster, and they just announced a launched family ride.

Holiday World

Holiday World is possibly the only park that I have never seen a bad review about, they have free parking and drinks (that was what I was surprised about), plus free inter tubes, life jackets, and sunscreen for their water park. It’s not just their free items though, all of their wooden coasters have been featured on top ten lists around the world (especially the Voyage). They have also won the most Golden Ticket awards ever.

Thorpe Park

Thorpe Park is most likely the UK’s best theme park. They have the world’s first 10 inversion coaster, an inverted coaster, a Euro Fighter, and the UK’s tallest coaster. They also announced that they are going to be building a wing rider coaster next year called the swarm.

Fuji-Q-Highlands has a hyper coaster, the fastest accelerating coaster, a 4th Dimension coaster, and now the world’s best Euro Fighter. All of this is at the base of Mount Fuji.

Tokyo DisneySea

Tokyo DisneySea is supposed to be the best Disney park. Although their coaster lineup isn’t that good, they have a ton of other attractions. Their ride Journey to the Center of the Earth is possibly the best ride on the planet. They also have a version of my favorite ride, Tower of Terror.

That’s about all I can think of, if you know of a great park post a comment and if it is good, I will post it.

What do you think? What are your most wanted parks? Please comment. Thanks for reading. 🙂

My most wanted parks are: Six Flags Magic Mountain, Busch Gardens Tampa, Holiday World, Six Flags Over Texas, Thorpe Park, Alton Towers, Fuji Q Highlands, and Europa Park.

    • I can say with confidence that Six Flags Magic Mountain is my favorite Six Flags park (although I haven’t been to Great Adventure). Busch Gardens Tampa is defiantly my favorite park for coasters in Florida, especially with the addition of Cheetah Hunt. Six Flags over Texas is OK, I haven’t had very good experiences there, my sister hurt her neck on Titan’s helix so it ruined her day. With the New Texas Giant I might have to go back and give SoT another round. (Mr. Freeze is fun too) Thanks for reading!
