X-Flight is landing at Six Flags Great America

September 1, 2011

Six Flags Great America has announced their new coaster for 2012: X-Flight. X-Flight is the first B&M Wing rider in America to be announced.

It will have 5 inversions including a Dive Loop/ drop combo, a Zero-G-Roll, an Immelmann, a corkscrew, and finally, a Barrel Roll. Its red and black track will soar above Six Flags while the riders will hang to the edges next to the track instead of above or below it, the cars look really cool too. The ride will have at least two near-miss moments where the trains fly through buildings with small tunnels for the trains and tracks to ride through (pictured above). X-Flight will be 3000 feet long, 55 mph, and 120 feet tall.

Here is a video and POV of X-Flight:

Thanks to for the pictures of the ride.
