Steel Force

May 8, 2011

Steel Force is a out and back hyper coaster at Dorney Park.

The ride starts with a 200 foot lift up to the top. The drop provides excellent airtime and is very fun. We fly through a small tunnel at the bottom and then back up another hill. There is airtime galore at the top, the next hill isn’t followed by a drop. Instead it dives through a large 540 degree helix. The trim brakes are next, although they don’t slow us down much. Bunny hops are know for their airtime, Steel Force’s bunny hops are extremely forceful, there is always tons of ejector airtime at the top of each one. A small turn leads us to the final brakes.

Steel Force was fun and had a ton of airtime. I am giving it an 8 out of 10.

Have you been on Steel Force? What do you think? Please comment. Thanks for reading. 🙂

Loved, loved, loved Steel Force when we went to Dorney Park way back in 2006 I think?? Rode it several times. I’d agree with the rating of 8.

Steel Force is very fun. I was surprised that Coaster Critic didnt think it had much airtime, and gave it only a 7. I agree with a rating of 8. It has good amounts of airtime and is long and fun.

    • The Coaster Critic must have had a bad seat or something. I remember loads of airtime for each of the 6 times that I rode it.
