Georgia Scorcher

May 6, 2011

Georgia Scorcher is a coaster at Six Flags over Georgia. It is one of the smallest Bolliger and Mabillard stand up coasters.

The ride starts when you ascend up the 107 foot tall lift hill. The drop leads directly into a vertical loop. The next element is a weird turn that sets you up for an inclined helix that flies through the loop. A small turn to the right is next, it is followed by a short corkscrew. There are a few more sweepping turns before the final brakes.

Georgia Scorcher was fun but really short. I am giving it a 6 out of 10.

Have you been on Georgia Scorcher? What do you think? Please comment. Thanks for reading.

I have been on 3 standups- Mantis at CP, Green Lantern at SFGA, and Shockwave at KD. I found GL and Shockwave to be extremely painful, especially the standing up part. It is very uncomfotable. Mantis I don’t remember much pain on, but on GL I did have pain. On GL, my legs would be pushed against the floor harshly and there was much headbanging. Is the georgia scorcher comfortable and smooth?

    • Georgia Scorcher is very smooth and the most comfortable of the four standups I’ve been on (Georgia Scorcher, Riddler’s Revenge, Mantis and the now closed Batman: The Escape at Six Flags Astroworld), it is my second favorite just because Riddler is so big.
