Poltergeist

April 26, 2011

Poltergeist is a coaster at Six Flags Fiesta Texas. It is sometimes described as a ball of steel.

The station is themed like an old abandoned house with old cobwebby pictures and peeling wallpaper. There is a launch that shoots you at 60 mph into a cobra roll, and then directly into a sidewinder. Instead of dropping back to the ground below like most coasters, Poltergeist stays up at the top of the ball. There is a short brake run and then the helix’s start, these take you to the bottom and into a corkscrew. The corkscrew is a bit too small for the speed that you are traveling so it is very intense. You hop up to the brake run and the ride is over.

Poltergeist was fun but a bit rough and violent. I am giving it a 5 out of 10.

Have you been on Poltergeist? What do you think? Please comment. Thanks for reading. 🙂
