Titan and Goliath

March 8, 2011

Titan is a coaster that is in the back of Six Flags over Texas, Goliath is a coaster with an almost identical track at Six Flags Magic Mountain. Titan has an extra twist and is a bit higher, but other than that they are the same.

The rides start with a 245 foot lift hill on Titan and a 235 foot lift on Goliath. Then we drop down a 255 foot plunge into a tunnel, next we shoot up to a 200 foot turn around that leads into a large hill, unfortunately this is the only time that we get airtime on the ride. On Titan we spiral up to a trim brake run where the g-forces are very intense, on Goliath we just turn up to it. We are slowed down considerably which may seem sad but we will understand why in a moment. The ride drops out and around a turn into a helix, this provides the most intense g-forces on the whole ride. Just as we are about to get drastically shorter we pull out onto the brake run.

Titan and Goliath are ok but really not that amazing, even with their intense height and speed. They just don’t have any airtime (except for on the one hill) and my sister’s neck got hurt on one of the helixes. I am giving both of them 6 out of 10s.

Have you been on Titan or Goliath? What do you think? Please comment. Thanks for reading. 🙂
