Mr. Freeze at Six Flags Over Texes

February 9, 2011

In the Batman franchise, Mr. Freeze is one of the the diabolical enemies who cannot survive at a temperature above -50 degrees. At Six Flags Over Texas, Mr. freeze is a launched shuttle coaster.

You enter the air conditioned station of Mr. Freeze wondering if it will be that scary of if it just looks scary. The seats are very uncomfortable because there is no room for your feet. The launch is one of the most intense ever, first a row of lights flash, indicating that things are about to get moving. Then suddenly you shoot forward, you shoot out the end of the covered launch like a rocket and up into the Top hat inversion, this is pretty intense because you start heading straight up and then you twist to the side and flip so that you are facing straight down. Once horizontal again you shoot into an over-banked turn and straight up.There are some launchers that push you up even higher and then let you fall back towards Earth. Going through the over-banked turn is very rough because it is very small for the speed you’re going. The Top hat is nice though, and insanely wild traveled backward. The ride ends with you returning to the station backwards.

Mr. Freeze is fun but very rough, it is also short. I am giving it a strong 6 out of 10

Have you been on Mr. Freeze? What do you think? Please comment. Thanks for reading. 🙂
