Great American Scream Machine at Six Flags Over Georgia

February 9, 2011

For years this was my favorite wooden coaster (now it is #2). It sits in the back of the park over by my all time least favorite coaster Ninja. The ride is painted in the colors of the nation’s flag, red, white, and blue.

The ride starts with a 105 foot climb over a lake and then dives down into the first drop. This leads to the next hill which has a right turn at the top, the ride then has lots of hills out and back to this point. The next few hills are all small and have a good amount of airtime back to the station.

Overall the ride is very smooth for a woodie and the layout provides a good amount of air. I am giving it a 7 out of 10

Have you been on the Scream Machine? What do you think? Please comment. Thanks for reading. 🙂

This was a nice coaster. I was almost terrified when I was on it because some kid told me that it was rougher than Georgia Cyclone, my least favorite roller coaster due to the horrible pain. (He was very, very wrong). This had good airtime and a nice, long layout. It is in my top 5 favorite woodies for sure.
