Arrow Dynamics was one of the most important coaster manufacturers in the twentieth century. Their first venture in to coasters was at Disneyland in 1959 with the Matterhorn Bobsleds, These used a completely new type of coaster track that came to be known as the steel coaster. Their next great achievement was to create the Corkscrew, this was the first coaster to successfully complete an inversion. Their final great achievement was the hyper-coaster, These were mega coasters that were 200 or more feet high, and had no loops. Unfortunately Arrow went bankrupt and was bought by S and S power (now called S and S Worldwide).
