The Most Patriotic Roller Coasters
Happy Independence Day! Many roller coasters have been inspired by America during the 236 years we’ve been around. Here are some of the best.
The Great American Scream Machine
There have been two coasters with this name. One was at Six Flags Great Adventure and the other still remains at Six Flags over Georgia. The Great Adventure version was an Arrow Dynamics looping coaster. The Georgia ride is an out and back woody. For years it was my favorite wooden coaster. Of corse both rides were painted red, white, and blue after the flag.
The Great American Revolution
The first successful coaster to navigate through a vertical loop opened in 1976, 200 years after America got its start. The ride still operates at Six Flags Magic Mountain where it is called The Revolution for short.

American Eagle
This giant racing coaster is located at Six Flags Great America. The park even sounds patriotic. The coaster is named after the national bird, the Bald Eagle.
Patriot
This list is about patriotic coasters so of course I have to include Patriot at Worlds of Fun. Patriot is a B&M Inverted Coaster. The ride includes four inversions.

Aside from coasters there are also parks that are patriotic. There is Six Flags America near Washington D.C. I already mentioned Six Flags Great America. There is also California’s Great America out on the west coast.
I can’t leave out Holiday World. They have a complete 4th of July section in their park. It is filled with family rides named after this holiday.
What do you think? Did I miss any coasters? Please comment. Thanks for reading!
